​I always wanted to be an actress. 

I know, me and every other little girl on the planet, right?  Instead of growing up to be an actress, though, I grew up to be a stay-at-home mom.  Not nearly as glamorous, but certainly rewarding in its own way.​​​

 

It gets boring, though.

So I started to write.  Not in any serious way.  I'd read a lot, and writing seemed like a natural off-shoot.  Boy, was I wrong.  Turns out writing is a whole lot harder than I thought it would be.  It took me over a year to finish my first book, and then, once it was done, I had no idea what to do with it.

Thank goodness for friends.  Turns out a friend of mine is a pretty good editor, and I handed the book over to her with much fear and trepidation.  Trust me, the fear was completely warranted, because, though I had the makings of a story, mostly the book was awful.

So we spent the better part of a year editing that book.  Then we sent it out into the world of the Kindle, and people actually liked it!  So I wrote another.  And another.

It's not acting, but it's pretty fun.
